a community resort concept
Built in the early 1920’s, the thirteen-acre Camp Wildwood was purchased in 1944 and turned into a resort and community event center. Camp Wildwood became a gathering place to swim, hike and picnic by the creek for many local residents, but was eventually closed down over a decade ago.
Hired by a Los Angeles Hotel Entrepreneur, we developed a master plan for a small community resort utilizing existing historic structures, the main club house and pool area, and complementing it with new small scale modern structures in various locations which were spread out over the entire property including modern tents and gypsy trailers, and high end container accommodations.
